I was born in Taiwan, but I've moved around a lot in my life. I currently live in California, but I've also lived in Utah, Nevada, Missouri, Indiana, New York, Illinois, Texas, Virginia, and New Jersey, not to mention a two-year church mission in Germany. I've averaged more than a move per year of my life, and as a result, I dislike moving. Fortunately for me, I got married to a wonderful girl named Joyce, and I'm hoping to settle down for a long while with her.
Aside from my wife, there are two things that I am very fond of: computers and sports. I am a computer researcher by profession. That means that I sit in front of a computer all day long and goof off investigating how to do things like breaking into computers and coming up with ways to make computers more reliable. I currently work for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, which is one of the remaining six major hard disk drive manufacturers in the world. My other favorite thing that I love is playing, watching, or discussing sports. My favorite team is the Brigham Young University Cougars. I also am a big fan of the Boston Celtics (the reigning NBA champions!) and the New York Mets. Moreover, I like to play volleyball, basketball, racquetball, tennis, ping pong, softball, and wallyball.
What else do I like? Chinese food. I love good Chinese food. I used to think that the Chinese restaurants here in the US were pretty good, but my wife has shown me how good real Chinese food can be. I like food in general, but especially Chinese, Italian, and seafood.
Sometimes my mind wanders and thinks about philosophical matters. Here is a collection of some ideas that I've come up with.
